Today's verse on Bible Verse Sunday is Romans 3:23:
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
The ESV Study Bible has this to say on the verse:
"Rom. 3:23
No one can stake a claim to this righteousness based on his or her own
obedience, for all people have sinned and fall short of what God demands
(see 1:21)."
At church today, in the latest installment of the Tell Me the Story of Jesus sermon series, Pastor Scott Wilson told us of the significance of Jesus' baptism by John. All of the high school group (with a few exceptions, including yours truly) were away at winter camp, so there was no high school service today. Instead, I helped my dear old dad with parking lot patrol, striving to deter carjackers and other such persons.
