Adventures in Odyssey

Adventures in Odyssey is a radio drama that has been running for more than twenty years. It details the daily life of ice cream shop owner John Avery "Whit" Whittaker and his friends, the people of the town of Odyssey. This program is a Christian program with Christian messages, covering a diverse range of topics.

I've been listening to this program since I was a little kid. I distinctly remember listening to the same episodes over and over again on my little cassette tape player. Now that I'm older, I'm listening to them on CD, getting all of the episodes from the library. I still cherish the program, as does the rest of my family. I'm currently listening to the volume Daring Deeds, Sinister Schemes.

Adventures in Odyssey is a funny, uplifting, and smartly written show. I love it's messages and characters, and I imagine I will continue to love it as long as it goes on. The cast has changed around frequently, what with child actors voices changing and all, but the same spirit permeates the show now as it did twenty years ago. I recommend this program as a family experience to listened to by people of all ages. Any episodes which have more mature themes are designated as such by the creators, for which listening it together as a family is recommended, as is with all episodes.
