Bible Verse Sunday #56

And now, without further ado, I present to you this year's last installment of Bible Verse Sunday. Today's verse is Philippians 4:8:

"Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."

The ESV Study Bible has this to say about the verse:

"think about these things The Philippians are to fill their minds with things that will inspire worship of God and service to others."

Today in church in the main service, the pastor talked about the the beginnings of discipleship, and how we have to experience Jesus's unconditional love, trust the Holy Spirit's power, and live in the light of eternity. There High School service was cancelled for today due to Winter Camp. I'm not going, though I did go to summer camp about six months ago, and neither are several of my friends. Nathan (not the one who thinks that Superman is the greatest superhero movie ever made, who will be henceforth referred to as "Nate"), Casper, Kristin, and some others played Uno while we waited for the second service to end. Casper won.

After church, we went home, ate lunch, and then went to my grandparents' apartment and watched the Seahawks game. Go hawks! Then we went home and took down the Christmas tree. Now, it's time to prepare for New Years...
