Bible Verse Sunday #66

Today's verse is Ephesisans 2:10:

"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

What this verse means is that even before we were born, our consciences and destinies were authored by God in accordance to his plans for us. Specifically, the plan God has in mind is that we should do his will and obey his word. By obeying his word, we are meant to believe in Christ as our savior, so as to be saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, with our salvation being evidenced by the bearing of fruit, that is, good works. To walk in the ways of Jesus is what we were made to do, and will continue to be so until the end of the age.

Today in church, the pastor continued in the main service's study in Romans, where we learned that God, being our justifier, makes it possible for us to live rightly through Christ alone, and we must have faith in what God has done and will do. In the High School service, the youth pastor talked about the Parable of the Sower as written in the Mark 4, and about the different types of faith discussed there.

Also of note, the fifth episode of Series 2 of The Joker Blogs is up and available online for those of you who want to watch it. There are several big reveals which were awesomely done. Word of warning though, definitely not for younger audiences. Fifteen and up.
