Yesterday evening and today, there was held at Snohomish Community Church the last of the Bible Quiz Team Invitational competitions. Following this, there will be the Regional Bible Quizzing Competition and then the National Bible Quizzing Competition. At this invitational, we fielded one big senior team, as did Alderwood, due to some of their quizzers being unable to make it. Also, Lone Rock Church and Faith Community Baptist Church combined their teams into a Lone Faith Team.
Our team did pretty well in the round robin quizzing, but finished last in the tournament. We'd been ping ponging against the other teams, and luck finally turned against us. We definitely need more practice. I'm going to start practicing with quiz questions, at least ten a school day. Lastly, I would like to congratulate Kellyn Post for making second place in the Senior All Stars.
This was one of those invitationals where we had to stay overnight at a host family's house. I stayed at a home with several other boys, where we played Age of Empires (I lost), and they watched Skyfall while I tried to sleep. Anyhow, we got home safe and sound, stopping by Dairy Queen on the way, as usual. I hope that we will be able to do better at Regionals.
