Bible Verse Sunday #39, New Primary Ignition Articles, and the Ballad of the Batman

Today's verse is Matthew 11:27:

"All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."

The ESV Study Bible has this to say on the verse:

"All things have been handed over to me by my father. This reveals the profound divine self-consciousness of Jesus, as well as the supreme authority of the Father within the Trinity, by which he has delegated authority over "all things" to the Son. "All things" probably refers to everything needed with respect to the carrying out of Christ's ministry of redemption, including the revelation of salvation to those to whom he chooses to reveal the Father. no one knows the Son except the Father. in both Jesus' incarnate state and his eternal state as Son, the Father and the Son share an exclusive relationship, including a direct and immediate knowledge of each other."

Today in church in the main service, the pastor gave a sermon on how to live a life full of the Holy Spirit, and the importance thereof. In the High School service, the youth pastor had a similar message, about how we should give it our all in our walk with Christ, following the example of the boy with five loaves and two fish and Mother Teresa.

In other news, I have two new articles published for the news and reviews website Primary Ignition (other articles written by me are linked to this blog post). They are both graphic novel reviews, on Batman and Robin Volume 2: Pearl and Batman: Detective Comics Volume 2 – Scare Tactics. The former was pretty good and the latter was pretty bad.

Finally, I have authored a new fan fiction on the Off Topic Culture section of BZPower.com. It's a song-fic called The Ballad of the Batman. Quite simply, it's a song about Batman, his history, and his allies. I'm considering doing a similar song fic about Azrael, and maybe something on Batman's history. Any suggestions are welcome! Just mention in the comments section your idea for a fic I could write!
