Bible Verse Sunday #21

Today's verse (good think I remembered to post about it today) is Psalm 5:5 (taken from ESVBible.org):

"The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers."

The ESV Study Bible has this to say on the verse:

"5:4-6 The God Who Loves Justice. The singer praises God for loving what is right. The argument of the psalm is that the success of these persecutors would contradict the biblical view of God's commitment to righteousness. The terms describing evil and evildoers are status words; that is, they describe people who reject God's kingship, as well as denoting the behavior that stems from such rejection (as vv. 7-8 will make clear)."

Today at church the pastor gave an introductory sermon in what will a multi-month long series on the book of Hosea. Specifically, he talked about the roles and functions of prophets, as well as how things can go wrong when we deviate from God's boundaries. In the High School service, the youth pastor talked about the horrible subject of Hell, what it is like and what it is.

I plan to go to the library today to get homework help with my Geometry, so here's hoping that it goes well. Also, I and my good friend Nick are still working on that music video for "Gotham City", and will be releasing it on YouTube soon. It should be a marvelous sensation.
